Born August 2, 1924, in Augustina County, Va., Jack was the son of the late Charles E. Jack retired as a truck driver in 1984 from the former Anchor Motor Freight in Baltimore, Md. He was a member of VFW Jarrettsville Manor Memorial Post 8672, and Baltimore County Auxiliary Police for many years. Jack was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Antique Tractor Pulling Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Patricia Ann "Pat" Staubs Shiflett who died Nov. He was a member of the VFW Memorial Post 3522, of Charles Town, former member of Jackson-Perks American Legion Post 71, of Charles Town, and an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 948, of Charles Town, where he was on the Degree Team. Interment will be in Gardens of Faith Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, Md., with military honors. While serving in the Army, Jack was employed by Bethlehem Fairfield Ship Company, Baltimore, and as a truck loader for Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company. He loved building bird houses, working in his shop, collecting belt buckles and old toy tractors.
